CPR/AED TRAINING

This training is for WFA participants who also need CPR training before their selected WFA Skills Demonstration. Adult CPR/AED training must be complete prior to attending the Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course. There are two options to ensure you can complete this training prior to your WFA class. If you are current on CPR/AED training, please email jeannerose3456@gmail.com with a copy of your current certificate.

Option 1: Obtain training through an accredited agency like American Red Cross or American Heart Association (or ask if through another agency) on your own. Send completed training certificate to jeannerose3456@gmail.com.

Option 2: Bundle the CPR/AED portion with the WFA training. You must complete the online Interactive CPR/AED training prior to your CPR/AED in-person Skills Demonstration class.

If you select Option 2, you must register at both Emergency Care and Safety Institute for on-line portion AND Greater St. Louis Area Council for in-person Skills Session:

4. Follow the additional directions and complete the course.

5. You must pass the on-line course test with an 85% score. 6. Email your online completion certificate to Jeanne Burke at jeannerose3456@gmail.com.

After you register for the ECSI on-line portion, register for your CPR/AED in-person Skills Session on a registration link HERE. You don’t need to complete the ECSI on-line CPR/AED course before registering for the in-person session. The in-person Skills Session is from 7:30am – 9:00am. Registration for the in-person session is $10. You must register for Wilderness First Aid separately, starting HERE [insert GSLAC WFA registration link]. Most participants do CPR/AED Skills Session and WFA Skills Session on the same date.
