USA Archery Level 1 and 2 Practical

Event Details

Meet up at the Welcome Pavilion at 8:45am and we will walk back to the Archery Range as a group.

This practical course is for Scouters wanting to earn the USA Archery Level 1 or 2 Instructor (coach) ccertifications. Scout must be 15 years old for Level 1 and 18+ for Level 2 to get USA Archery certified. The USA Archery online course must be completed prior to taking this practical course.

What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 Certifications

Level 1 certification is needed to run the archery range at a scouting event, such as troop archery range time and therefore is the training that most scouters need topics will include range safety, range operations, and the basic about archery.
Level 2 includes range safety, range operations, and how to coach archery, 3-year membership in USAA and USA Archery Background check.
Level 2 certification is needed for the training the instructor certification course and advance courses including JOAD and Tournaments Judging.
Level 1 is not a prerequisite for Level 2 certification as you can take Level 2 without taking Level 1. But I recommend both courses as a little redundancy helps to retain knowledge.

To earn either of these certifications the candidate must complete both parts of the training, on-line course and a practical in person course.
Level 1 and Level 2 practical courses can be tough at the same time and take about 4 to 8 hours to complete.

To get started go to www.USArchery.org. Select the Login/Become a member button in the top right corner of the page which will take you to Sport80.com page. On the White section select either sign in or create an account. Create an account if you are a first timer. Just follow the instructions. Write down your credentials for the next time you need to login into the page. On the left-hand column select “USA Archery Courses” and a list of all courses will appear. Find either Level 1 or Level 2 instructor online course and signup. Do not worry about the date on the online course. You do not need to complete the online course in one sitting. Once the online class is completed you will need to do a practical in person class.

You must complete the online course portion at least 2 weeks before attending the practical training. This is to ensure that the USA Archery database is updated with your status. The online Class portions can be found at USA Archery (usarchery.org)
