AOL Quest (Fifth Graders)

AOL Quest
November 6th – 8th
STSR Camp Euchee
AOL Weekend of Fun Scout Skills
Learn about troops and the activities you can do when you join like outdoor cooking and more. AOLs will be put into patrols to spend the weekend as if they were on a troop campout and cook their meals in the campsites.
Through the weekend, AOLs will work on the Outdoor Adventurer. They will choose one morning activity: First Aid/High-Tech Outdoors or Knife Safety/outdoor skills, and one afternoon adventure: Champions for Nature, Estimations, Into the Wild, or Into the Woods.
Registration is limited so sign up now on the GCC website - $30 for AOLs and $15 for adult partners. Includes Saturday dinner and Cracker Barrel.
Friday night meal option is available for purchase for $5.
Saturday breakfast and lunch and Sunday breakfast are the responsibility of each patrol. Everyone is encouraged to cook in their campsite as a patrol. If this is not feasible, a meal plan can be purchased for these three meals at the Dining Hall for an additional $20 per person.
This event is for AOLs only with activities designed as an introduction to troops. The event is being held at the same time as WEBELOS Weekend. If parents have an AOL and WEBELOS scout, they can camp together in the WEBELOS area. Bring the AOL over to join their patrol during activity times.
Be sure to read the parent-leader guide for preparation notes, packing list, and how to prepare scouts for a great time. BRING YOUR MESS KIT!
There will be an AOL crossover as part of the campfire program. Contact Maria Randolph if you want to have your scout participate.
When & Where - STSR Check-in begins Friday, Nov 6th at 4pm. Check-out by Sunday, Nov 8th at 11am.
