We're finalizing the plans for this WOW, but below is an overview of typical programs that we offer.
Wallwood Outdoor Weekend – Program Overview
The Wallwood Outdoor Weekend typically consists of 3-6 Program Areas that your family can explore and participate in.
- Shooting Sports - Due to unforseen circumstances, we will not be able to offer BBs at this event
- Fishing at the the Waterfront (Weather permitting)! Fishing on the dock or practicing with Backyard Bass.
- Aquatics such as activities in the Pool (Weather pending) and/or the Waterfront.
- Pool activities may include: Instructional swim, Swim Test, free swimming and diving board for fun.
- Wallwood Museum - See the history of Wallwood and the best collection of scout patches in 200 miles.
- 5-Mile Trail is available for Hiking or Biking! Want to get lost in the woods – we can help you! 5-miles sound too long? We will have turn out loops available to make your hike enjoyable at 2-Miles and 3-Miles. Participants must provide their own bikes and Helmets. A knowledgeable guide is recommended.
- Scavenger Hunts to locate items or points of interest around our 600 acre property for fun and prizes.
- Trading Post – Will be open will all Scout merch, snacks and other shenanigans!!

If your scout is planning to swim, a swim test is required to taken within the last 12 months. If your scout has completed a swim test please complete the attached “Swim Classification Form”. If your scout has not attempted a swimming test we will administer prior to being allowed to join free swim.

Make sure to complete the Range and Target Activities Permission and Release Form attached on this page and bring it with you - Must be complete for all shooters and signed by a parent!
A parent/adult partner must accompany Cub Scouts in all activities and must be in the canoe during the aquatics activities, when offered.
Units may organize an overnight camping element by following the unit camping procedures established for Wallwood Reservation and Suwannee River Area Council.
