Get ready for an unforgettable introduction to Cub World! The Chippewa Valley Council invites Cub Scouts and their families to Welcome to the Woods — a fun, relaxed, and adventure-filled experience at Cub World.

Whether you're joining us for the day or spending the night, this event is all about simple joys, outdoor fun, and making memories. Explore camp activities, meet fellow scouts, and discover what makes Cub World so special.

This event will be led by Trained Camp Phillips staff. 
 Day visit or overnight stay
 Fun, family-friendly, and perfect for first-time campers

December Fees: $80 per family, up to 6 people. (additional spaces can be purchased if room is available, contact eric.muench@scouting.org)

Activities listed below are just a sampling of the activities available

Saturday, December 6

• 9 am Registration at Fort Rice, get settled in to housing. 
• 9-10 am move in to housing, games in the Fort Rice area
• 10am -12 pm - open activities.

  • Camp tours
  • Archery
  • Crafts inside
  • Bonfire & hot cocoa
• 12 pm Lunch
• 1PM activities resume
  • Climbing wall
  • Outdoor cooking at fire ring
  • Outdoor skills- fire building, knots, whittling, etc
  • BB Guns (weather permitting- bb guns do not work the greatest when it's really cold)
  • Crafts inside
• 4 pm
  • Campfire skits, songs and cheers led by camp staff
• 5 pm wind down time until dinner 
• 6 pm Dinner
• 7 pm evening activities

• 10 pm Lights out

Sunday, December 7

Housing

You will be staying in the Cub World Towers or Loft. Flush toilets, heated, WiFi, electricity. You will be staying with your family in a 6 person room.
