Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) is one of four trainings to be a fully trained Scouts BSA leader.

This training is a hands on skills instructions to help Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmaster, Venture Crew Leaders to learn some of the basic skills a Scouts BSA youth needs on their trail to First Class.  Skills covered (but not limited to): cooking, camping, equipment, wood tools, maps, compass -all while using the patrol method.

The other 3 required training: Safe Guarding Youth, Leader Specific Training (LST or the 'indoor session') and Hazardous Weather.

The IOLS training session will be held Friday night, 4/24/2026 to Saturday night, 4/25/2026 at Camp Rokilio.
