What is Leadership and Citizenship Acadamy?

"LCA" is a condensed provisional camping experience for older Scouts ages 14+ or Star Rank and above. Scouts who attend will be a part of a provisional Scouts BSA troop with leadership that Camp Mountaineer supplies for the week. A provisional unit is one that consists of Scouts from several other units instead of coming all from the same troop. This provisional unit will participate in evening program activities, service projects, flag ceremonies etc.. as a group and follow all rules outlined by our Camp Mountaineer Leaders Guide for our regular resident camp sessions. The Scouts will earn up to 4 Eagle-required merit badges, barring completed pre-reqs prior to attending. These merit badges are being taught by local subject matter experts and local leaders. These merit badges and pre-reqs are listed below.

WHO: Scouts BSA members (ages 14+ OR at least Star Rank)

WHEN: Sunday, June 28 - Thursday, July 2

• check-in at 4:30 PM on Sunday, June 28
• check-out at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 2

FEES: $320 per Scout

REGISTRATION CLOSES: Monday, June 1

• Limited to 30 Scout participants
• All youth and adults must bring a copy of their complete Annual Health and Medical Record 

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• A refund request form must be submitted for consideration of a partial refund for this event. A $50 cancellation fee will be applied to any youth canceled after April 15.
• The campsite will be assigned for the provisional troop based remaining availbility during the resident camp operation. 
• The contact information to be provided must be the parent who should receive Camp Mountaineer information and communications.  Frequently, camp updates and announcements will be sent to the email addresses provided of all attendees and registration contacts.
