Merit Badge University and Trail to First Class Day

WHAT:     Annual Merit Badge University and Trail to First Class event with a focus on the outdoors, wildlife, and conservation; in partnership with Circle Ten Council, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department at Clements Scout Camp (TRJ).

WHEN:     Saturday, October 3, 2020.  8:30 am to 5:00 pm (3-hour Morning and 3-hour afternoon sessions)

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (“TPWD”) has partially reopened the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (“TFFC”) but has ordered that no more than 100 visitors may be on the grounds at any time.  We are expecting 500+ for our Scout event.  Accordingly, we had to reschedule the date and move the venue.

Please know that we are strictly following COVID-19 guidance from the State, TPWD, County officials and BSA Circle Ten Council.  There will be strict COVID procedures in place for everyone’s safety. Accordingly, this will be a day trip only Council event.  Regrettably, COVID procedures will prohibit unit camping at TRJ.
