It is time for your Summit experience in scouting.

Join us at The Summit for the 2021 National Jamboree!

Crater Lake Council will be sending a Scout BSA Troop serving both boys and girls to the 2021 National Scout Jamboree. The Troop will consist of no more than 36 youth and 4 adult volunteers. Register early to make sure your child has the opportunity to attend this pinnacle experience.

The Jamboree takes place from July 21 -30 at the Bechtel Scout Reservation in West Virginia. 

Our Troop will leave on the 18th, spending time touring historic and important sites in Washington DC before arriving at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia on the morning of the 21st. 

The total cost to attend the Jamboree with the Crater Lake Council Contingent is $2,950 for participants. This includes airfare, most of your meals, hotel accommodations, and your entry fee to the Jamboree.

To help every scout have the opportunity to attend, any scout that has paid their deposit will receive a 50% commission on their popcorn sales this Fall to help pay for the trip. This is a significant increase to help each youth that wants to attend this event have the opportunity.

The payment schedule is as follows:

$250 deposit due with your registration
$540 payment by April 1, 2020 (or upon registration)
$540 payment by July 1, 2020
$540 payment by September 1, 2020
$540 payment by December 1, 2020
$540 or remaining balance by February 1, 2021

Scouts and Venturers must have a current membership in a Troop or Crew, a First Class rank by July 18th, 2021, and be at least 12 years old by the first day of Jamboree.

How Do I Sign Up

Youth:  Signing up to attend the National Jamboree is a two-part process:

First, go to the BSA National Jamboree website. Follow the instructions carefully and register online. There is no payment required to register through the BSA site https://jamboree.scouting.org/

Second, register right here with Crater Lake Council and make your non-refundable $250 deposit to reserve your spot in our Troop.  Read the payment and refund policy carefully. Deposits are not refundable and regular payments will be required over the coming months in order to secure your spot with our contingent.

Please note that you MUST register through the BSA National Jamboree site. BSA collects much of the same information as we do; however, they do not collect payments. Once you're registered with the BSA, we'll get a notice that you're all signed up. After you've registered with Crater Lake Council and made your deposit, we'll be contacting you to let you know if we need any more information and to give you instructions on what to do next. 

NOTE - you do NOT need to enter a BSA National Jamboree registration code during the Crater Lake Council payment process. Just go right into our registration site and make your payment.
