IOLS provides adult leaders with the practical outdoor skills you need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors where you engage with other course participants in key activities first learning and then using the “patrol method” throughout the weekend. Upon completion, you should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. This course is intended to provide troop leadership with the information and tools you need to lead successful Scouts BSA Troops! 

Registration will happen on Friday night between 5-7pm, and the course will begin at 7pm. The course will conclude on Saturday at 7pm. This training will complete all of the outdoor education requirements for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters, but is useful for all Scouts BSA leaders!
