The Area 3 eVent has been POSTPONED until Fall in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Cost per person:
$45 if postmarked before April 13, 2020
$60 if postmarked after April 14, 2020
The fee for the 2020 eVENT is dependent on when they are postmarked. The fee applies to all youth and adults and covers all food, program activities andeVENT patch. Registrations received after May 8th & on-site registrants will NOT receive a 2020 eVENT patch.

Program Overview
An eVENT Program and Schedule will be provided for each participant at the event check-in to assist them in planning their activities for the weekend. eVENT program activities are an open format and do not require pre-registration. We will provide a map of where the activities are located and when they will be open. Event participants can decide what they want to do and when they want to go. All campers will use their own tents.
Firearms Program
The Area 3 VOA eVENT on Saturday, May 16, 2020, will use rifles, shotguns, pistols, and muzzleloading rifles with live ammunition in its Shooting Sports Program. In order to participate in the pistol shooting activity, participants must be at least 14 years old as of May 15, 2020 AND participate in the BSA pistol orientation on Friday evening. All other shooting activities are open to any Venturing/Sea Scouting participant. All activities will be done in compliance with the BSA National Shooting Sports Manual, the Guide to Safe Scouting and all applicable New York State and Federal laws and regulations.
IMPORTANT - All participants must have a Waiver filled out and signed by the participant AND parent/legal guardian. A downloadable form is located in the attachments section on this page.

About the AVOA
The Area 3 eVENT is planned and conducted by the Area Venturing Cabinet and representatives to the AVOA from the nine councils that make up Area 3 of the Northeast Region. Being part of the AVOA is fun and running an Area eVENT is a BLAST! It is also a great opportunity to extend your leadership and event planning skills – a great resume builder.
