On a biannual basis, the Patriots' Path Council, Boy Scouts of America hosts its Youth Protection Symposium. The event will take place on Friday May 11, 2018 at the Boy Scouts of America Service Center located at 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ. This year’s topic is Opioid Awareness, Protecting Our Teens! The symposium will begin with check in and breakfast at 8:30 am. The program will start at 9:00 am and come to an end at 3:00 pm.
Any individual interested in learning about protecting our local teenagers, youth workers, school counselors, camp directors, mental health workers, sports coaches, etc., are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Many topics will be covered including Narcan training, stories from survivors, and informative presentations on supplies and resources. Participants will also learn what the signs are and how to prevent the worst-case scenario.
*The cost will be $25 per person, that will include a light breakfast and hot lunch. An organization that brings 10 or more attendees receive a reduced rate of $20 per person.
Registration will close on May 5th.
