Culinary Arts Program
Do you enjoy cooking, baking, or just eating food? Want to learn how to make your own ice cream, or even a delicious pizza from scratch? Then the Metro Community College Institute for the Culinary Arts and City Sprouts would like to invite you to their Explorer Program! You will learn about baking and cooking some of your favorite dishes as well as what it takes to be your own urban gardener. The program will start at City Sprouts for two evenings and then the following two sessions will be held at Metro Community College Institute for the Culinary Arts. Topics for City Sprouts:

Canning Jam: In this lesson, we will learn how to make fresh fruit jam from scratch and water bath canning for shelf-stable preservation. Great for toast and to give as gifts!

Scratch Pizza: In this lesson, we will learn how to make pizza dough and tomato sauce from scratch and create fresh garden veggie pizzas.
