Leave No Trace Trainer Course

Leave No Trace Trainer Course
The Leave No Trace Trainer Course is a two-day (16 hour), hands-on training designed for Scouting America youth and adult participants who want to deepen their understanding of outdoor ethics and gain the skills to teach others. Guided by a nationally recognized Leave No Trace curriculum, participants will learn how to apply the seven principles in a variety of outdoor settings, with a focus on Scouting activities such as camping, hiking, and high-adventure treks.
Through interactive discussions, experiential learning, and practical teaching exercises, participants will:
· Strengthen their personal outdoor ethics practices.
· Develop confidence in presenting Leave No Trace awareness sessions to packs, troops, crews, and councils.
· Gain tools to mentor others in protecting the land, wildlife, and experiences we cherish in the outdoors.
Successful completion of this course certifies participants as Leave No Trace Trainers, authorized to conduct Leave No Trace Awareness Workshops and to serve as valuable outdoor ethics resources for their units and local councils.
This course is ideal for Scouts age 14 and older, Venturers, Sea Scouts, and adult leaders who want to lead by example and ensure that future generations can enjoy the outdoors responsibly.
Please dress in layers for the weather. We will have indoor and outdoor activities. Please bring a signed copy of the attached LNT Liability waiver, and forms A and B of the health form. You can get a copy of these under the attachment in your registration (bottom right corner).
