Scouting the Arts on CAMPus SEMO 2026

Scouting the ARTS on CAMPus 2026
Friday, June 5 – Sunday, June 7, 2026
Southeast Missouri State University – River Campus
Welcome to the inaugural Scouting the ARTS on CAMPus, a brand-new immersive weekend where creativity takes center stage.
For the first time ever, Scouts will spend an entire weekend living on campus while exploring the visual, performing, and media arts inside SEMO’s Holland College of Arts and Media and Dobbins Conservatory. From studios to stages, rehearsal rooms to design labs, this experience gives Scouts direct access to university-level facilities and faculty while earning merit badges in a fully immersive college environment.
This is not a day event. This is not a workshop.
This is a full residential campus experience built around the arts!
Scouts will stay in campus housing, eat in the student dining facilities, attend structured merit badge sessions during the day, and enjoy exciting evening campus activities designed to build independence, confidence, and community.
Available merit badges include Theater, Graphic Arts, Music, Pottery, Photography, Journalism, Art, and Dance!
Cost
$175 per Scout
$125 per Adult
*Register 5 or more Scouts, and Adult Fee is only $75.00!!
(5+ Scouts must be on single registration with this option to qualify for this pricing. Those that do not will be canceled.)
Registration includes campus housing, meals, programming, and all scheduled evening activities.
The College Experience
Participants will:
• Live in university housing for two nights
• Explore SEMO’s River Campus, Holland College of Arts and Media and Dobbins Conservatory
• Learn from faculty and experienced instructors
• Work through merit badge requirements in focused sessions

This weekend blends structured advancement with the energy of campus life. Scouts will leave with more than completed requirements. They will leave with a sense of what it feels like to pursue creativity at the collegiate level.
