Powder Horn
Powder Horn is a resource training course designed to showcase local and national resources for better unit programing. This course will NOT certify you for items like COPE and Climbing, but it will let you experience the activities so that you can speak from experience when planning them for unit program.
During this one weekend course you will experiences activities such as: shooting sports, climbing/rappelling, caving, camp properties, team building, flag folding/retirement, trek planning, Zumba, wilderness first aid, living history, Sea Scouting, sailing, fishing, ethical controversies, orienteering, religious services, STEM, CERT, evening programs, and much more. New this year are three elective opportunities which you will sign up for after registration on a first come basis. Those activity choices include: high/low COPE, the Wolf Sanctuary, astronomy, SCUBA, and genealogy.
** A $20 discount per person will be given to units who have more than one person from the unit attending. Please contact the Training Department at 314-361-0600 to apply the discount to the registration prior to making the final payment.**
