Operation Iron Scout

Event Details

Operation Iron Scout

March 27-29, 2026 at Gamehaven Scout Camp

From the team that brought you Operation Icicle, this brand-new event is a troop-based camping experience akin to camporees. While troops will camp and cook together, they will participate in a slate of exciting camp activities around designated merit badges.

Our 2026 Merit Badge is Mining in Society! This rarely-earned badge covers the history of mining, explores the status of mining in the 21st century,
and introduces Scouts to modern mining careers.

Scouts and Adults will leave with an aluminum event patch!
