Fall Merit Badge Rally at Minnesota State College Southeast in Winona!

Class Registration will open on Tuesday, Oct. 7th @ 6am

We are offering 12 different merit badges with a Physics test Lab for a potential new merit badge in 2026-

• American Cultures - AM Class
• Architecture - PM Class
• Automotive Maintenance - AM Class
• Bird Study - AM & PM Class
• Citizenship in Society - All Day Class
• Citizenship in the World - PM Class
• Emergency Preparedness - All Day Class
• First Aid - All Day Class
• Journalism- All Day Class
• Law - All Day Class
• Physics Test Lab - PM Class
• Signs, Signals, and Codes - All Day Class
• Welding- AM & PM Class
• Woodworking - AM & PM Class

PRE-REQUIREMENTS & WORKSHEETS - All Scouts should download the worksheet for the class(es) they are taking. Some classes have pre-requistes. These need to be done prior to attending, so that they can be discussed in class to help with completion of merit badge.  

What is a "Test Lab" badge?

The Scouts BSA Test Lab is an exciting way to help in the development of fun and interesting new topics unique to the Scouts BSA program. The requirements for each badge have the look and feel of merit badges, but instead of a printed pamphlet, you will find links to digital resources to help you complete the requirements. If enough surveys show Scouts enjoyed these potential new badges, we hope to introduce them as official merit badges in the future. If you complete a Test Lab badge and it becomes an official merit badge, you will be credited with having earned that badge!
