Cub Scout Day Camp (Central & Northeast Michigan)

Event Details

Activities include BB Guns, Archery, Slingshots Scout Games & Skills, Wood crafts, Sports, Crafts and more.   Each Cub Scout will also work on many advancements and achievements. So get ready for fun this summer!  

For any parent or adult guardian that agrees to serve on staff for all days of the camp, and is approved by the Day Camp Directors in advance, your Cub can attend the camp for a reduced fee (listed on the registration page), and also receive his t-shirt free.  You must contact the director for the camp you wish to staff below.  They will give you the registration code if you are approved.  Please note that all staff and day walkers are required to pay a small registration fee to attend day camp.  This fee covers insurance for day walkers and staff.

Cub Scouts can also attend a single day(s) for $25 a day.  The t-shirt is extra. (When you register for Cub- Single days, it shows the fee as $0. the system will automatically tabulate the $25 per day for the day(s) you select)

The following are 4-day Cub Scout Day Camps.  The cost starts at $65 per Scout, which covers all 4 days and includes a t-shirt.  The late fee is $85 and there is an additional cost for the t-shirt ($10-$12 depending on size).  Packs signing up youth as dens or registering 4 or more scouts, must provide at least 1 adult 18 yrs or older as a walker for each day of camp.  This adult can be parent, guardian, day care provider or older sibling.  Parts A & B of the Annual Health and Medical Record are required for ALL youth and adult participants. McCurdy Park in Corunna

Monday and Tuesday:  Registration and check-in opens at 8:30 am, program begins at 9:00 am and camp concludes at 4:00 pm.

Wednesday and Thursday:  Check-in begins at 12:30 pm, program begins at 1:00 pm and camp concludes at 8:00 pm.

Cubs will be divided into dens by age/grade at this camp.  Bring a sack lunch.

Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge

To help expedite the Monday morning check in and get camp off smoothly, Units and families can come to Fitzgerald Park on Sunday, July 16, between 5:00 pm-8:00 pm and check in early.  You will get den assignments, pick up your t-shirts, etc. Cub Scouts will be in dens by Pack at this camp.  (Subject to Den sizes) Then on Monday morning arrive at camp between 8:30 am and 9:00 am and go directly to your den site.  Bring a sack lunch.  Camp concludes by 3:30 each day.  Questions?  Contact Jodi Dail at jldail823@gmail.com

Motz Park in St Johns

Bay City Bowmen Club in Kawkawlin 

Camp runs from 9:00 AM-3:30 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and 2 PM - 8 PM on Friday. The following is a 3-day Cub Scout Day Camp:

Bicentennial Park in Grand Blanc - The cost starts at $52 which covers all 3 days of camp and a t-shirt. The late fee of $75 DOES NOT include a t-shirt.  You may purchase a shirt.  Cubs will be divided into dens by packs at this camp.  Packs signing up youth as dens or registering 4 or more scouts, must provide at least 1 adult 18 yrs or older as a walker.  This adult can be parent, guardian, day care provider or older sibling.  Parts A & B of the Annual Health and Medical Record are required for ALL youth and adult participants. These can be found by clicking the resources tab on each event.  Bring these with you for check in.  Also, click on the resources tab for confirmation information for your camp.  (available soon)

Opening flag ceremony is 8:30 am and camp concludes at 4:00 pm.  Closing ceremonies (all parents welcome) is 4:00 pm-4:30 pm.  We will be doing an early check in on Sunday, June 25 at 6:00 pm at Bicentennial Park. Troop 129 is providing a hot lunch option for a cost for this day camp and the one held at Robert Williams Nature Center in Davison.  There are 3 lunch packages to choose from: 1) two hotdogs, chips, cookies, carrot sticks, and drink, 2) two corn dogs, chips, cookies, carrot sticks, and drink. 3) two pb&j sandwiches, chips, cookies, carrot sticks, and drink.  Each meal selection is $5.  There will also be nachos and cheese for an additional $1 and other snacks for sale.   Payment for your meal will be taken at camp.  You will be asked what day you want to purchase lunch when you register.  You can pick one or more days.  Someone from the day camp staff will contact you to ask which lunch package you want to purchase.

The following are 2-day Cub Scout Day Camps

The cost starts at $40 which covers both days of camp and a t-shirt.  The late fee is $50 plus $10 for a t-shirt.  Cub Scouts can also attend a single day(s) for $25 a day.  The t-shirt is extra. (When you register for Cub- Single days, it shows the fee as $0.  The system will automatically tabulate the $25 per day for the day(s) you select)

Notes:  Boys that are current Tiger Cubs (entering 1st grade in the fall of 2017) attending Day Camp MUST have an adult or guardian (18 yrs old or older) attend with them the entire duration of the camp.  Also, due to BSA policies, brothers and sisters of Cub Scouts cannot "Tag Along" at Day Camp.

Notes:  Adults serving as chaperones or "day walkers"  should take the online Youth Protection Training.  This can be done online at the link below.  Please print and bring a copy of your completion certificate with you to day camp.
