Cub Scout Day Camps- Central & NE Michigan

Down on the Farm Day Camps!

Cub Scout Day Camps are for all Tiger Cubs, Wolves, Bears and Webelos.  (No Lions)

Activities include BB Guns, Archery, Scout Games & Skills, Wood crafts, Sports, Crafts and more.   Each Cub Scout will also work on many advancements and achievements. So get ready for fun this summer!  

For any parent or adult guardian that agrees to serve on staff for all days of the camp, (2, 3 or 4 day long camps only) and is approved by the Day Camp Directors in advance, your Cub can attend the camp for a reduced fee (listed on the registration page), and also receive his t-shirt free.  You must contact the director for the camp you wish to staff below and also complete the online staff application found at the following link:  https://michiganscouting.org/day-camp-staff-application/.  They will give you the registration code if you are approved.  Packs signing up youth as dens or registering 4 or more scouts, must provide at least one adult 18 yrs or older as a walker for each day of camp.  This adult can be parent, guardian, day care provider or older sibling.  Parts A & B of the Annual Health and Medical Record are required for ALL youth and adult participants. These can be found by clicking the resources tab on each event.  Bring these with you for check in.  Also, click on the resources tab for confirmation information for your camp.  (available soon)

For female Cubs Scouts attending day camp, a female adult/leader must attend with any girls attending.  Parents or pack leadership must supply this adult.

Cub Scouts can also attend a single day(s) for $25 a day.  (D Bar A camp is $35 per day.  See below) The t-shirt is $10 extra for single day participants (When you register for Cub- Single days, it shows the fee as $0.  The system will automatically tabulate the $25 per day for the day(s) you select)

*  Note:  A free t-shirt is NOT part of the fee for Cubs attending the single day camps (Cole Canoe Base and Goodells Park)

Single Day Camps/Events:

Cole Canoe Base - June 6 (Saturday)

Attention Cub Scouts and families! Cub Day Camp awaits you at Cole Canoe Base, June 6 from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM. This day camp is for the whole family including younger brothers and sisters! The discount fee is $25 per Cub Scout / Webelos Scout if paid by May 24th. The regular fee is $35 per Cub Scout / Webelos Scout starting May 25th and ending June 2nd at midnight.    Brothers and sisters of Cub Scouts can attend for $10 each and do some of the age appropriate activities (fee includes lunch).  An adult must attend with any non scout siblings.  Adult fee is $6 per adult which includes lunch.  No walk-ins.   Fees include a patch, water bottle, all program and lunch for all youth and lunch for all paid adults.  Scouts will NOT receive a camp t shirt as part of their fee but the camp trading post will have souvenirs available for purchase.  Questions?  Matt or Nikki Biermann by email - Matt@biermanns.org or nikki@biermanns.org

Goodells Park (Port Huron Area) June 20 (Saturday) (Twilight camp)

Check in Saturday between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm.  Opening flag ceremony is 2:00 pm and camp concludes at 9:00 pm with a campfire program.  The entire family invited for campfire program.  Plan to be in camp by 8:00 PM.  Cubs will be divided into dens by rank at this camp. Discount fee is $20 if paid by June 12. Fee goes up to $30  on June 13. Fees include a patch, water bottle, all program. The following are 2-day Cub Scout Day Camps:

The discount fee is $45 (Except the D Bar A Day Camp - $55)  which covers both days of camp and a t-shirt.  (D Bar A  Day camp fee is higher due to addition of the horseback riding program.) The regular fee is $60 plus $10 for a t-shirt kicks in approximately 2 weeks prior to the camp start date.  Cub Scouts can also attend a single day(s) for $25 a day. ($35 per day for D bar A camp)  The t-shirt is extra. When you register for Cub - Single days, it shows the fee as $0.  The system will automatically tabulate the $25 per day for the day(s) you select. Packs signing up youth as dens or registering 4 or more scouts, must provide at least one adult 18 yrs or older as a walker for each day of camp.  This adult can be parent, guardian, day care provider or older sibling.  

D Bar A - June 6-7 (Saturday-Sunday)

Fee for this camp is $55. ($10 additional cost)  Scouts will get to do horseback riding as part of the program. 

Saturday, June 6: Check in from 7:45 am – 8:20 am, opening flag ceremony is 8:30 am.  Camp concludes at 4:30 pm.

Sunday, June 7: Check in from 8:00 am – 8:15 am, Scouts Own Service is 8:15 am.  Closing Ceremonies (all parents welcome) is 5:00 pm

Saginaw Field and Stream Club- June 27-28 (Sat-Sun)

Check in Saturday between 7:45 am – 8:20 am.  Opening flag ceremony is 8:30 am and camp concludes at 4:00 pm.  Check in Sunday between 8:00 am – 8:15 am.  Scouts Own Service is 8:15 am and closing ceremonies (all parents welcome) is 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm.  Cubs will be divided into dens by age/grade at this camp.  Bring a sack lunch.  Questions?  Contact Sarah Witgen at sawcline@aol.com or (989) 295-3149 or Dan Ehlert at dehlert@fphorak.com or (989) 525-5697.

We are providing a hot lunch option for a cost for this day camp.  There are 3 lunch packages to choose from: 1) two hotdogs, chips, cookies, carrot sticks, and drink, 2) two corn dogs, chips, cookies, carrot sticks, and drink. 3) two pb&j sandwiches, chips, cookies, carrot sticks, and drink.  Each meal selection is $5.  There will also be nachos and cheese for an additional $1 and other snacks for sale.   Payment for your meal will be taken at camp.  You will be asked what day you want to purchase lunch when you register.  You can pick one or more days.  Someone from the day camp staff will contact you to ask which lunch package you want to purchase.​

Reed County Park - North Star (near Ithaca) June 27-28 (Saturday-Sunday) (Twilight Camp)

Check in Saturday between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm.  Opening flag ceremony is 2:00 pm and camp concludes at 9:00 pm.  Check in Sunday between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm.  Camp runs from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm and concludes with a campfire program.  (Entire family invited for campfire program.  Plan to be in camp by 8:00 pm)  Cubs will be divided into dens by rank at this camp.  Bring a sack lunch.  Questions?  Contact Becca Little at rslott84@yahoo.com or (989) 763-2343.

Fenner Nature Center- Lansing July 18-19 (Saturday -Sunday)

Tri-City Area Day Camp -Auburn Scout Service Center, Auburn, MI. June 19-21(Friday-Sunday)

Camp runs from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm on Friday, Saturday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm, and Sunday check in from 1:30 pm -2:00 pm.  Camp runs from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm and will conclude with a campfire program.  Your whole family is invited to the campfire program.  Plan to be at camp by 8:00 pm.   Cubs will be divided into dens by age/grade.  Bring a sack lunch.  

Bicentennial Park in Grand Blanc - June 22- 24 (Monday-Wednesday)

Cubs will be divided into dens by packs at this camp.  

Opening flag ceremony is 8:30 am and camp concludes at 4:00 pm.  Closing ceremonies (all parents welcome) is 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm.  We will be doing an early check in on Sunday, June 21st at 6:00 pm at Bicentennial Park. McCurdy Park in Corunna - July 20-22 (Monday-Wednesday)

The discount fee is $65 which covers all 3 days of camp and a t-shirt. The regular fee of $75 DOES NOT include a t-shirt kicks in approximately 2 weeks prior to the camp start date.  You may purchase a shirt.  ($10-$12 depending on size).

Motz Park in St. Johns - July 6-9 (Monday - Thursday)

Registration and check-in is 8:30 am, opening flag ceremony is 9:00 am and camp concludes at 3:00 pm after closing flag each day.  Cubs will be divided into dens by age/grade at this camp. Scouts will travel by bus on their own adventure for a couple hours during 1 of the days of camp to a local educational facility called the IQhub where they will get the chance to learn about conservation, agriculture and even get to drive a tractor simulator. The camp program consists of Archery, BB guns, STEM, Scout Skills, Crafts and Games. It will be a very exciting week where your scout will learn new and exciting things. Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge - July 13-16 (Monday - Thursday)

To help expedite the Monday morning check in and get camp off smoothly, Units and families can come to Fitzgerald Park on Sunday, July 12, between 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and check in early.  You will get den assignments, pick up your t-shirts, etc. Cub Scouts will be in dens by Pack at this camp.  (Subject to Den sizes) Check in each day starts at 8:30 am and camp starts at 9:00 am.  Bring a sack lunch.  Camp concludes by 4:00 pm each day.  Questions?  Contact Nate Chance at nchance54@gmail.com or 517-444-1022 or Carrie Chance at lilsquibb@yahoo.com

Additional Information for all Day Camps

Notes:  Boys or girls that are current Tiger Cubs (entering 1st grade in the fall of 2020) attending Day Camp MUST have an adult or guardian (18 yrs old or older) attend with them the entire duration of the camp.  Also, due to BSA policies, younger brothers and sisters of Cub Scouts cannot "Tag Along" at Day Camp.

Notes:  Adults serving as chaperones or "day walkers"  are required take the online Youth Protection Training.  This can be done online at the link below.  Please print and bring a copy of your completion certificate with you to day camp.
