USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Training

The USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Course is designed to give instructors the necessary skills to teach the archery merit badge, short-term archery programs and introduce basic archery skills to beginners. Minimum age to participate in this course is 15.
The Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Course provides graduates the necessary tools to maintain a high level of safety both on and off the archery range and ensures that minimum standards for archery instruction are consistently taught to provide for the safety of participants, spectators and instructors.
Level 1 instructors are well prepared to teach beginner archery progrms to people of all ages and abilities in a variety of both indoor and outdoor settings in the disciplines of target, field or 3-D archery. We cover range safety, range set-up, basic equipment setup and repair, and how to teach the basic steps of shooting, programs and lesson plans.
BSA partners with USA Archery for standards in camp program instruction, range design and merit badge counseling. Adults need to be at least Level 1 Archery Instructor to operate a BSA archery range or to be an Archery Merit Badge Counselor.
