Spring Break Camp 2017 / Belzer

Event Details

Don't sleep your week away! Come to Camp Belzer and learn a new skill and earn a few merit badges.

WHO:  The Scout attending the Spring Break Merit Badge Camp can earn the following merit badges:  Oceanography, Citizenship in the World, Stamp Collecting, Collections, Den Chief, First Aid, Cooking, Wilderness Survival, Sports. These are just a few being offered this Spring.

COST: You may register to attend individual days at $40 per day. Or you can sign-up for all five days at a discounted rate of $125!  Bring a lunch! You may bring snacks and drinks and wear a Scout uniform (Scout t-shirt).

WHEN: Monday-Friday, March 27 - March 31, 2017
Registration/drop off: Begins at 8:30 am
TIME: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pick up: between 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Location: Camp Belzer, 6102 Boy Scout Road, Indianapolis

 

PREREQUISITES: (view the official list of Merit Badge requirements)

Merit Badge Blue Cards Signed by the Scoutmaster

Collections, - #1 (bring report), #2, 8 (be prepared to discuss or explain, you will be presenting one of these in front of the class, 10-15 minutes)
Oceanography, - #7 & #8 (the speech can be given at the workshop if time permits.)

Stamp Collecting - #7 A-F (do at least two), #8 - A-E ( Mount and show, in a purchased or homemade album, at least one)

Den Chief Training will be held on Monday, March 27th (Prerequisite: Read and Bring Den Chief Handbook)

Cooking - #4, 6

Wilderness Survival - #8

Sports - #4,5
