All have some pre-requisites and the Scout and parent should look over the requirements.

13 week budget, the planned purchase of a significant item, time management calendar tracking and planning schedule. Need to bring Merit Badge Book, not just the worksheet.

BOY SCOUT CERT TRAINING PROGRAM (First Aid, Emergency Preparedness, First Aid, Search & Rescue) - This is a 4-day course, must attend Monday-Thursday)
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is a community volunteer program for emergency management. When disaster strikes, these volunteers fill in the response gap of the first responders. Numerically, there are not enough first responders should a major disaster strike. CERT members are trained and certified under Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security to help bridge that gap and expand the chances of survival to many more until first responders arrive. Please read Community Emergency Response Team Basic Training Participant Manual.
