TRAINING ACADEMY 2021
Whether you’re an experienced Scouting leader or just starting out, Training Academy delivers classes that will help your unit enhance the program you offer to your youth!
Registration is closed. Walk Ins are welcome on Saturday, however! Be sure to pick your classes (and alternates) ahead of time AND bring your lunch. We will have a Trading Post with breakfast items and snacks, but no extra lunches.
Training Academy is LIVE and in person this year! We’re taking appropriate safety precautions to bring you the training you need coupled with the camaraderie from fellow leaders you expect. NEW this year… Training Academy is FREE to registered Three Fires Council leaders as part of the Program Fee. (Leaders from other Councils may register for a fee.)
From collaborative, leader-specific classes to enrichment courses, there’s something for everyone: climbing wall certification, camping, cooking, advancement, membership & recruiting, hands-on classes, STEM-focused classes, special needs strategies, and much, much more!
What: Adult training for all levels of Scouting (Cub Scout, Webelos, Scouts BSA, and Venturing). Take up to five classes during the day. (Some classes are longer than a single class period.)
When: Saturday, November 13, 2021
Registration 7:30 am – 8:30 am
Opening Ceremony 8:30 am – 9:00 am
Classes (five periods)* 9:10 am – 3:30 pm
Closing Ceremony 3:30 pm – 4:00 pm
Each person who registers will be able to select five (5) class periods of training. When registering, use the five drop downs to make your selections. Make your choices beforehand by opening the Course Selection GRID link and viewing the choices for each period. Please make your selections NOW. Class grids (sorted by Scouting Level and by Subject) are located in the right-hand column of this web page. Please note that walk-in registration and course selections are based on availability, so register for the classes you really want today.

Cost: TFC-registered Leader** - free Leader From Another Council - $25
Training is offered at no cost for TFC-registered Scouters, as it is part of the program fee paid at recharter.
Extras: * The Scout Shop will be open during lunch.
* The Vendor Midway will be open during lunch and hosts vendors with ideas, activities, and products
to enhance your unit’s program.
* Complimentary coffee, hot water for tea, and bug juice are provided throughout the day.
* A Trading Post will offer breakfast items, snacks, soda, and water throughout the day for purchase.
Due to the coin shortage, most items will be $1 - and will be bundled.
* A box lunch (optional) may be purchased during registration. Choose either a turkey, roast
beef, or veggie sandwich and comes with chips, fruit (whole), and a cookie. Otherwise, please plan
to bring your own lunch**.

** Please note: training is provided free as part of the program fee. Lunch is either on your own (bag lunch) or a box lunch may be purchased in advance during registration. Complimentary coffee, hot water for tea, and bug juice will be provided. A Trading Post will also be available with additional items for purchase, which may include: soda, breakfast items, and snacks.
