University of Scouting

The University of Scouting
The University of Scouting brings Cub Scout, Scouts BSA, and Crew leaders together for an annual, one-day training event. Leaders from across the council gather to learn, connect, and celebrate Scouting in a fun, festive atmosphere. Experienced volunteers lead engaging classes, sharing both their expertise and their passion for the program.
This one-day event functions as a true Scouting “convention.” Leaders and parents at every level can attend and take advantage of a full day of learning. Participants select up to five sessions, with some classes running two sessions and others lasting all day.
Sessions explore a wide range of Scouting topics, including Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, games, crews, ceremonies, and more. New, experienced, and prospective leaders come together to exchange ideas, discover best practices, and see how other troops, crews, and packs operate. The University of Scouting offers something for everyone and delivers a day well worth the time. Make plans to attend, invite your friends, and join us for an inspiring Scouting experience. See you there!
Who can go?
Everyone! Scouting leaders and parents are encouraged to select classes that match their interests, regardless of program involvement.
Will food be provided?
Yes! However, if you have dietary restrictions, please bring your own food, as lunch and snacks will include dairy and gluten.
