Island Park Service Weekend 2026

A Call to Service
The snow has melted, the moose are returning, and Island Park Scout Camp is ready to wake up for the 2026 season. But before the first campfire of the summer can be lit, we need your hands, your tools, and your grit to get the property in peak condition.
This isn't just a "cleanup"—it’s a weekend of stewardship. We are looking for Scouts, leaders, alumni, and friends of the Council to help us preserve the legacy of this incredible high-mountain retreat. Whether you’re a master tradesman or just handy with a rake, there is a project with your name on it.
What We’re Tackling
Our goal is to complete a month's worth of maintenance in a single weekend.
Projects include:
- The Big Clear: Removing winter deadfall and clearing trails for safe hiking.
- Infrastructure Prep: Painting, repairing cabin shutters, and prepping the waterfront.
- Conservation Projects: Shoreline restoration and invasive species management.
- The Final Polish: Deep cleaning the lodge and dining hall to welcome our summer staff.
