Join us for the 8th Annual Onizuka Day of Exploration (ODE) at the University of Hawaii West Oahu campus on Saturday, April 6th. This event is Hawaii's largest family-friendly STEM event, honoring Astronaut Ellison Onizuka, a Hawaii-born Eagle Scout.
ODE offers 100+ hands-on activities, workshops, and special events for youth and their families. It is a free, inclusive, and engaging event.
Exciting workshops, including many led by UH West Oahu faculty, will focus on STEM, Hawaiian culture, emergency preparedness, and much more. To view the workshop catalog and registration instructions, click on the document links on this page. To register for workshops click on the green "Register Here" button.
NOTE: Since there are so many other booths, acitivities, and displays that you will want to see, we recommend that you register for a maximum of 2 workshops only.
Youth and adults must register in advance even if you are not planning to attend a workshop.
Special Events include a Pinewood Derby, a presentation from a NASA astronaut, a VEX robotics tournament, a chess tournament, a 45 foot whale, Hawaiian cultural activities, and much more. See the Special Events document link on this page.
The NASA astronaut presentation, scheduled for 10:00 am in the G builidng, is on a first come, first served basis.
If a workshop that you want to attend is full, you can go to the room and wait outside to see if there is room available. If there is, the instructor will let you enter.

Register for Virtual Reality demonstration here: ODE VR Demo Registration. There are only a few seats remaining.
