Help keep climbing/rappelling as part of Scouting’s activities by becoming a qualified BSA Climbing Instructor for your Unit, District, or Council!

Scouters who work with troops and teach climbing are required to be “Qualified Instructors” prior to teaching any climbing/rappelling activities.

Who should attend:

• Persons interested in being “Climbing” Merit Badge Counselors.
• Camp Staff and Scouters wanting to teach scouts how to climb and rappel.
• Current Level 1, and Level 2 Climbing instructors needing recertification.
• Level 1 Climbing Instructors wishing to become Level 2 Instructors.

***This class assumes you already have some climbing experience.
