BIG BOAT SAILING
Level 2 - Intermeditate/Advanced

In this INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED sailing class, different from our Big Boat Cruising class, sailors will learn to optimize speed in 30-38 ft. racing boats. Participate in match racing around the harbor! As they fly spinnakers, adjust leads on sails for optimal trim, use winches, and fine tune the sails, they work to get top speed. Sailors will hone these skills both inside Newport Harbor and along the coast in the open ocean. 2 weeks class duration; Mon-Fri - every day is fun new experience!

PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of Sailing 2 and Big Boat Sailing Level 1 or equivalent. Swim check required.

Sessions run from 1:30pm to 5:00pm Monday - Friday.

Weeks 4-5: June 29th - July 10th 

Weeks 8-9: July 27th - August 7th

Mandatory swim check on first day of camp. 

BSA Health Form AB is required and must be turned in at check-in.
