Description of Event:
Join us for three fun events this summer where your Cub Scout can get the opportunity to receive their Summertime Award Pin! Scouts who participate in all three events are eligible to receive the National Summertime Pack Award pin, which they can wear on the right pocket flap of their uniform.

To kick it off we will be hiking Griffith Park! Join us for the Amir’s Garden hike. Enough to make you hungry, and great scenery in our very own backyard in LA. Next we will host a Rain Gutter Regatta at our very own Pocket Park at Cushman Watt Scout Center. Cub Scouts will get the opportunity to build their very own boat, a dessert using a Dutch Ovens, and will get to race their boats to finish things off.

The last event will be at our very own Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro. Scouts will learn about safety around water fronts and bodies of water, will get to help clean the beach, and will enjoy a great BBQ.
