Get the most out of the Cub Scout experience and learn how to have outdoor fun with your pack families!  For pack overnight campouts, it is required that there be at least one BALOO-trained adult present.  Parents who are new to the Cub Scout program, you do not have to be a BSA-registered leader to attend!  Ideally, every pack should have at least two BALOO-trained adults. This training is a great opportunity to make sure you do. 

In this course, you will learn everything you need to lead a successful Cub Scout outing:

• Planning an event
• Health and safety
• Site requirements and gear selection
• Games and activities
• Cooking and meal prep
• Campfire planning

To attend the course, participants must have completed the following in advance:

1. Online BALOO material

2. Completed YPT training.

Prior to being issued with the qualification, participants must have:

1. Attend(ed) a Pack, District, or Council run camp within 6 months prior to or post of attending this course and be able to provide information supporting attendance.

Cost: $45, which includes lunch and all activity supplies for the event.

Once you register, please complete the online portion at my.scouting.org/. Search for BALOO Prerequisite V2 in the training dashboard and bring the certificate of completion to the event.
