Annual Twin Valley Base Camp Lock-In

$36 per Scout, $12 per Adult
Open to all AOL - Scouts BSA and Venturing Crews
 

Twin Valley is excited to announce the Base Camp lock-in for 2026!

Check in begins at 6:30pm at Base Camp (6202 Bloomington Road, Ft Snelling, MN). Do not arrive before 6:30 pm as other groups may have reserved the facility or staff is using the time to prepare for us.

At check-in, each person must have ready to turn in their Base Camp Waiver. Each Scoutmaster must have in their possession a Health Form A/B for all of their attendees. Health Forms will not be collected but need to be available in case of emergencies.

The evening will be filled with Base Camp activities including Archery, Climbing and Indoor Ropes Course. There will also be a Game Tournament!  During the registration process each Scout can choose to participate in a Game Tournament. Participation is not require but Scouts need to sign up.

Game 1: Dungeons & Dragons Tournament: Scouts need only to bring their own dice if they wish.  All else will be provided.

Game 2: RISK Tournament: Participants are invited to bring one or more RISK board games with them to insure we have enough.

Game 3: Chess Tournament (non-timed): Participants are invited to bring one or more chess sets with them. Traditional sets preferred. The more sets we have, the faster the tournament will go. Note: this will fulfil requirement #6 of the Chess merit badge so long as Scout brings and uses a chess scoresheet for their gameplay.

Game 4: MTG Commander: Participants will need to bring their own MTG Commander deck.

Because we will be using the first floor conference rooms at Base Camp for the tournaments, troops are NOT allowed to use the conference rooms for their gear storage or for sleeping until we are done with all of the tournament events.

Saturday night you'll dive into the late-night pizza that is provided. From 12:30-2:30 am enjoy a movie. Unfortunately, we'll call lights out at 3 am!

The next morning, a light breakfast is provided and served at 7 am and everyone must exit the building by 8 am.

This overnight event is open to all Scout BSA members, Venturing Scouts and 5th grade AOL Scouts. Troops let’s get those AOLs invited!

Registration is open until Friday, October 30, 2026. After this date you can only do substitutions as this facility does not allow for late registrations.
